Yes.it is illegal to treat and animal without veterinary Consent. I arrange a referral before we arrange the consultation and request any medical history from your VET. This doesn't cost you anything. We do this to ensure we have all the facts and there are no contraindications to treating your dog medically and that it is safe to do so.  

Yes. You will need to check with your specific provider, but many offer Alternative Therapies if approved by your Vet 

We palpate and identify areas of discomfort, treatment is not usually painful and communication is essential. Dogs hide lot of pain and are very adaptable. the majority of dogs find treatment a relief. They can be very sleepy or energetic after treatment and this is all very normal. I can discuss this as part of the consultation.
