Animal osteopaths treat horses, dogs, cats, some treat exotic animals! I treat cats and dogs. I'm fully qualified as a human osteopath with a BSc hons in Osteopathic Medicine and fully insured and regulated by the General Osteopathic Council.

Osteopathy works to find restrictions, improve blood flow and drainage, improve mobility  and rebalancing the dogs musculoskeletal system, reducing pain and restriction, but Osteopathy is  more than that. It  can change how a dog feels and therefore how he habituates in society and his well-being., demeanour and existence, inherently its behaviour. As Osteopaths we consider structure and function and assist the dog or cats journey back to health and maximises performance, vitality and health.

Every dog is unique and requires a personalized training plan. I treat the dog as a whole, as opposed to working on their back or one area and always look for the root cause   I work with each owner to develop a plan that fits their dog's specific needs and goals.

Every dog is unique and requires a personalized training plan. I treat the dog as a whole, as opposed to working on their back or one area and always look for the root cause   I work with each owner to develop a plan that fits their dog's specific needs and goals.

If we consider a case history of a dog who showed difficulty eating and submissive body language, lowered body postures when approached or slight guarding of the food bowl. this could have easily been assumed to be purely behavioural. By taking a thorough case history, the puzzle can be pieced together and this particular dog had a mechanical restriction of their jaw and facial bones affecting their ability to eat. They had had many teeth removed months previous..
